Feminism has been a strong force in the world for the past few decades, and unless you've lived in a cave your whole life you've likely been told about the oppression of women. But what do we really know about gender roles? Most of us haven't been taught how gender roles originally crystallized into being, or how the roles interact in more modern times. In this workshop we will open Pandora's box and take a shocking look at gender dynamics, so please check your political correctness at the door.

I offer my gratitude to the crew and faculty of the first (and not the only!) ALiA Europe conference. They created a deep and profound experience for us. Thanks a lot for the opportunity to be part of that via a partial scholarship.
ALIA Europe, a six-day immersion in the fresh ideas, paradigm-shifting tools, and strategic conversations. Read a blog post with inspiring excerpts from speeches here. Recurring theme this week was how to dynamically balance Power and Love as a leader in this world.
For me Wendy Palmers module on Embodied Leadership has been very profound and impressive. She uses Aikido principles to connect our personality survival patterns to our capacity to find our center moment to moment. It is not about staying centered, it is about restoring your connection to center. No easy fix, just keep practicing. After taking a few seconds of re-centering 5000 times, the body takes over. This is under 7 hours of conscious practice. Now that sounds do-able. And it is worth it for me. The most inspiring and powerful leaders to me are embodied leaders with strong presence and an open heart.
